  14. Windows UnArchive is a program which is used to extract and 
  15. decompress files from ZIP and ARJ format archives.  It takes
  16. the place of both command-line DOS unarchivers and
  17. Windows-based front ends for those utilities.  
  18.  
  19. Windows UnArchive is the succesor to Windows Unzip, which is now
  20. discontinued.  Those with registered copies of Windows Unzip can
  21. still receive phone, mail, and e-mail support, and an inexpensive
  22. upgrade option is to Windows UnArchive is available.
  23.  
  24. Features and improvements over Windows Unzip include:
  25.         
  26.             * 60% - 90% faster exploding than Windows Unzip
  27.             * Support for the ARJ archive format
  28.             * Ability to run a member file using its assocciation
  29.             * A new "Try Out" feature, perfect for trying downloads

  32. To use Windows UnArchive you must have MS-Windows 3.0 or greater and
  33. you must run Windows in Standard or Enhanced Mode.  Windows UnArchive 
  34. will not operate in Real Mode.

  36. To try Windows UnArchive, place the files WUNA.EXE and WUNA.HLP together
  37. in your windows directory, or some other directory in your path.  You 
  38. can then run WUNA.EXE from Program Manager, File Manager, or any other
  39. shell.  If you don't know how to use File Manager, or set up a program
  40. in Program manager, please refer to your Windows manual.

  42. Rather than explain how to use Windows UnArchive in this document, I have
  43. put all instructions in the help file, WUNA.HLP.  To view this file you can
  44. click the Help button in Windows UnArchive or run the command-line: 
  45. "winhelp.exe [path]wuna.hlp" from Program Manager or File Manager.  (Look 
  46. for the Run command under the File menu in either program.)  If you have used
  47. Windows for any length of time at all, and know about ZIP or ARJ files, you 
  48. should find Windows UnArchive easy to use with minimal use of the help file.  
  49. Even if you are an experienced Windows user, please read the command-line 
  50. section of the help file for some information on using Windows UnArchive 
  51. with File Manager.

  56. Windows UnArchive is not free.  It is a commercial Shareware product.  You 
  57. are permited to evaluate this product for 15 days.  After that time you must  
  58. register or discontinue using the program.  The use of unregistered copies of 
  59. Windows UnArchive, beyond the evaluation period, by any person, business, 
  60. corporation, government agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.  
  61. The basic registration fee for Windows UnArchive is $10.  Inexpensive upgrades 
  62. are available for registered users of Windows Unzip 1.x.  For instructions on 
  63. how to register, see the file ORDRFRM.WRI.

  92. evaluation use of others, as long as it is distributed without modification, 
  93. complete with all files.  No fee, charge or other compensation may be requested 
  94. with these exceptions:  Operators of electronic bulletin board systems may make 
  95. Windows UnArchive available for downloading, so long as there is no specific charge 
  96. for the download of Windows UnArchive.  Vendors of user-supported or shareware 
  97. software may distribute Windows UnArchive, so long as any duplication and handling 
  98. fees do not exceed eight dollars, and notice is clearly given that such fees do not 
  99. grant the evaluator a license to use Windows UnArchive beyond the evaluation period.
